Do I have to have an account to access the media?

No, there is free content on the site that you can access without an account. Just click on the “Catalog” link at the top of the Lifetree Player web page and go to the “Free Videos and More” category.

Why do I need to set up an account to access some of the media?

Your account serves as your library for all the content you have access to both on the website and on the mobile app.

Why is the mobile app is not giving me access to my content?

Make sure you are logged into the mobile app with the exact same email and password you used when you created your account on the website. See Step 3 of the How to Redeem an Access Code help document for instructions on logging into the mobile app.

How can I keep the mobile app from using my cellular data?

In the mobile app you can download the videos to your app so they play from your device storage and don't use cellular data. Just open a video and choose the ellipsis for options. You'll see a "Download video" option in the list. Be sure you're on Wi-Fi when you choose this or it will use cellular data to do the download. In the account settings on the app there's an option for "Download only via Wi-Fi." Make sure that option is enabled. 

How do I know what videos have been downloaded to the app?

There's a "Downloads" option in the app account settings. This will show you what videos have been downloaded.

I've enabled the content with my access code but I'd like to access some of the other videos too. What do I do?

You can purchase an access code for any of the programs you don't already have, just click the "Purchase" menu item at the top of the web page for options.

If I purchase access to media through the website, will this also unlock the same content on my Lifetree Player mobile app?

Yes. Any media you purchase on the website will immediately be available in the mobile app as long as you are logged in to the mobile app with the same account.

Can I use my same account on multiple devices?

Your Lifetree Player account can be used on up to 5 devices at the same time.

How do I access the Bonus Content? 

Open the bonus content video. If you scroll down the page you will see a tab for "Resources." Click that tab and you should see a link for your bonus content. Click that to download the content.

I purchasing codes for the kids at my VBS program. How many do I need? 

You should purchase one code per family at your VBS. One family can share the same account and 5 devices can play the content simultaneously.

Does Lifetree Player allow MP3 downloads?

No. In previous years, we sold download cards/codes that would allow you to download MP3 files for our VBS programs however this delivery method became increasingly difficult and unworkable for a number of mobile devices. We no longer offer the option to download individual MP3 audio files but now offer music through the Lifetree Player website and mobile app. You can download files to the Lifetree Player mobile app for personal offline viewing/listening, which will be stored on your device for 30 days. These files are stored in a proprietary format and may only be accessed through Lifetree Player. This will be the primary resource for listening to new Group VBS music. Current VBS songs will not immediately be available to stream on other platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.


Can I listen to just the audio for Lifetree Player videos while using a Bluetooth Speaker or Car Stereo?

Yes! Within the Lifetree Player mobile app, you may play music videos while your device screen is locked or turned off. This will allow you to listen to the audio for those songs through your device speakers, headphones, or while paired with a Bluetooth-enabled car stereo, Bluetooth speaker, or a smart speaker such as an Amazon Echo or Google Nest.
